About Me
Hi there, welcome to The John K. Scott Law Firm, LLC! I’m an attorney with over 9 years of legal experience, practicing as an attorney for over the last 5 years. I have practiced in a variety of areas, including real estate, business, personal injury, family, homeowner and condo association, debt collection, and other related fields. I’m a Midwesterner through and through, growing up in Wentzville, Missouri, obtaining my bachelor’s degree in political science from Loyola University – Chicago, and obtaining my Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University – School of Law. My fiancé and I have been fortunate enough to call Wisconsin home since 2023, and we could not have found a better place to plant our roots.
In law school, I worked for a solo practitioner with decades of legal experience, and then for a large personal injury firm in St. Louis. After graduating law school, my professional career in St. Louis was split between a mid-size litigation and transactional law firm and a small homeowner/condo association law firm. In these roles, I focused on debt collection and the comprehensive role of advising community associations and small businesses. These experiences in Missouri helped shape my foundation of real estate law, honed my skills as an attorney, and gave me an enthusiasm for small business ownership.
For over the past two years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving the residents of Wisconsin in a plethora of matters. My main focus is still primarily real estate, with the ability to litigate in court, advise small businesses, and prepare legal documents. However, I offer services in other areas too. And because I enjoy networking, if there’s an issue I can’t handle, chances are I know a good attorney that can. Plainly stated, I enjoy helping my clients with their legal needs and look forward to serving Wisconsinites for years to come.
Additionally, I am a licensed Realtor with Premier Point Realty, LLC. I obtained my Wisconsin salespersons license in order to gain a better understanding and different perspective of the real estate world, which in turn, helps me be a more effective attorney.
In my free time, I like to hike, cook, travel, watch baseball, attend church, play piano, and enjoy live music. I am a member of the Elmbrook Rotary Club and believe in the importance of giving back to the community. And because I, too, am a member of the community, I want to do my part in providing quality legal services with a hometown feel, at reasonable prices.
