Pricing

To eliminate one of the main reasons for increasing legal costs – I keep overhead expenses low, do not have office space, and do not have employees. I aim to provide exceptional value while passing the savings onto the client. I also want to be as transparent as possible about pricing. This is why I use a flat-fee model for most of the services I offer. I also offer free, 15-minute consultations so that you don’t have to pay just to speak to an attorney.

I think most people are capable of taking care of “simple” or “routine” legal matters themselves, such as forming a single-member LLC, preparing a quit-claim deed, sending a demand letter, litigating a small claims matter, etc. However, for one reason or another, they seek out an attorney to complete those tasks. This may be due to the peace of mind of having an attorney navigate the issue, the cost-effectiveness of hiring an attorney versus learning it yourself, or any other reason. For this type of legal work, a client wants the task done well and without breaking the bank. Once an attorney demonstrates proficiency, it comes down to the price. A flat fee model eliminates any ambiguity of the final price. What you see is what you pay. I call this my Simple Legal Solution.

Litigation is a little bit different. My background is in litigation – the “courtroom stuff.” I have a broad range of experience in initiating and defending lawsuits and enjoy advocating for my clients in the courtroom. But, because each lawsuit is unique, creating a flat fee model is challenging. The time spent and costs incurred with each case will be different, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

However, because of my lower overhead and belief in access to cost-effective legal services, I strive to have the most competitive pricing you’ll find in the Southeast Wisconsin area, regardless of the type of work I’m hired to do. This is why my hourly rate is $195.00 per hour for things I can’t do via flat fee (i.e. anything not a Simple Legal Solution).
